Meet Rita

Rita Tayefeh

Rita is the owner and designer of Rita’s Custom Drapery. She can’t wait to meet you and help you start exploring your personal vision. Originally from Persia, she grew up with her mother sewing her clothes and became interested in the sewing machine at an early age. Upon graduating from high school, she received her very own professional Japanese sewing machine from her parents. That night, she opened a sewing book and stayed up all night learning how to use it! Since that night 30 years ago, she hasn’t looked back when it comes to using her gifts for creation, design, and building something from nothing.

Today, Rita handcrafts every item personally, creating designs that are beautifully artisanal and one-of-a-kind. She also handles and oversees every installation of her window treatments. Whether she’s working on draperies, curtains, shades, or blinds, she commits to every project thoroughly from start to finish. She has so much passion for what she does!
